José Luis Mendoza receives the Golden Antenna from the National Association of RTV Professionals (19/11/2018)

The Federation of Associations of Professionals of Radio and Television of Spain celebrated this weekend, in the Casino de Aranjuez (Madrid), the ceremony of delivery of the XLVI Antennas of Gold, the most important distinction of the radio and the television of the country .

José Luis Mendoza, president of the Catholic University of Murcia was awarded for his support to the media and his social commitment, reflected in the numerous projects he is developing.

Along with him, personalities such as Pilar Cisneros - host of Mediodía COPE-;

Sandra Golpe - director and presenter of Antena 3 Noticias 1-;

Carlos Sobera presenter;

Iñaqui López- for the program La Sexta Noche-;

Informative Medioday of Tele5, among others.

Federico Sánchez Aguilar, president of the Federation of Professional Associations of Radio and Television stressed that among the jury, composed of 23 professionals from the world of media, there was unanimity when choosing José Luis Mendoza as one of the winners.

For his part, José García Solano, president of the Association of Radio and Television Professionals of the Region of Murcia (ARTV) recognized and highlighted the work that Mendoza is developing in the social and sports field.

"It is the only university in Spain that develops such work," he said.

He also acknowledged that through the actions carried out by José Luis Mendoza, through "help to the most disadvantaged, support a football and basketball team, a symphony orchestra, and an infinity of things," the image Murcia is being promoted throughout Spain, "and by almost everyone."

José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM thanked for this recognition, which he wanted to share with all his family and all the members of the University "that make it possible for the UCAM to be an important entity at the service of Spain".

"It is an award that all the workers of the University and the extraordinary team of Popular TV deserve," he added.

Also, Mendoza recalled that the institution has this course with more than 22,000 students, it works with more than 3,000 people, and has made a very important commitment to research, working with Dr. Juan Carlos Izpisua, in addition to technological innovation and for sport.
