The Youth Exchange Party will allow to know the experience of 128 young people who have traveled in Europe (15/11/2018)

This year, the offer of exchanges has increased 65% with respect to the activities presented in 2017

The Youth Exchange Party will take place tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. at the IES Licenciado Francisco Cascales

The Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services and specifically, the Youth section, which directs Rebeca Perez tomorrow organizes the Youth Exchange Party in collaboration with adolescents who have been part of the Municipal Plan of Exchanges 2018. The event will take place tomorrow at 20:30 hours at the Institute of Secondary Education Licenciado Francisco Cascales.

The meeting is intended, on the one hand, for the young participants in the Municipal Youth Exchange Campaign of summer 2018, who will be able to remember the experiences lived in their respective exchanges with their fellow participants and those responsible for the groups.

In addition, this year we have the participation of the cooking students of the Training Program of the Municipal Employment Service, which will organize an aperitif for the attendees.

"This type of acts allows us to continue betting on our young people, they are the real protagonists." This event is unique in order to share their experience and encourage other young people to participate in an exchange for Europe. , anecdotes and experiences, stories told in the first person ", explained Rebeca Pérez.

During the meeting all the groups will present their different exchanges in a varied way (performance, video, music ...), a projection of a video and photographs of the activities will be offered, some photographic panels summarizing the acts carried out during the summer and a percussion activity in which all the participants of the event will be actively involved in the show.

Municipal Plan of Exchanges

The Municipal Exchange Plan is an activity that offers young people the opportunity to participate, for a short period of time and together with young people from other countries, in European projects, to share experiences, enrich the personal idea of ​​Europe as a group of cultures and open up to new perspectives.

Its main objectives are to eliminate barriers to youth mobility, bring young people to other cultures from their own experience;

give the possibility of participating in cultural, artistic, environmental, sports activities, etc., in other countries, make possible the knowledge of the youthful reality of other countries and favor respect for different cultures and customs.

All projects are subsidized by the European Commission.

Erasmus Plus Program, Youth.

The projects are coordinated by European organizations and all involve at least 3 European countries, all with groups that make up the same number of young people per participating country.

Most of the organizations that participate, either as a project coordinator or as partners, belong to the Platform Network, a network of European international work organizations with young people, to which the Murcia City Council belongs.

The groups are accompanied by specialized monitors in the field of exchange, with experience in international activities and language skills.

The duration of the projects ranges from 7 to 13 days.

This year, between July and September, 128 young people from 12 to 25 years old have participated in 15 exchange projects of the Erasmus Plus Program, which have been developed in cities of 10 countries, specifically, Finland, Greece, Italy, Belgium, France , Luxembourg, Germany, Estonia, Portugal and Estonia.

This year, the offer of exchanges has increased 65 percent with respect to the activities presented in 2017, when 69 places were created.

The exchanges that have been offered this year have been in Finland ("Forming leaders", from July 1 to 6), in Greece ("Youth Jump!", From July 1 to 8), in Italy ("Safe is cool" ", from July 7 to 16), in Belgium (" Europe in harmony ", from July 8 to 14), in France (" In favor of the inclusion of migrants and refugees ", from July 13 to 22), in Luxembourg ("Outdoor + 2018" from 13 to 22 July), in Germany ("The impact of a healthy life on young Europeans", from July 16 to 23), in Estonia ("Healthy mind in healthy body I" , from July 17 to 28), in Luxembourg (34th International Music Week, from July 20 to 30), in Germany ("Eurovisionen", from July 22 to 28), Portugal ("Change of location, change of life ", from July 23 to 30), Estonia (" Healthy mind in healthy body II ", from July 27 to 7), Germany (" Creativity in free time ", from July 29 to August 4) , Belgium ("Young people move", from August 3 to 11) and Italy (UBU)

These activities are part of the Erasmus + program, and thanks to the contribution of the City of Murcia has been able to reach many more young people.
