NOW MURCIA calls for measures to the City Council in the face of poor air quality in the city and the very high levels of PM10 particles.

The measuring station of San Basilio, in Murcia, has marked in the morning today levels of up to 110 micrograms, when the maximum daily allowed is 50, exceeding this level for 3 hours (with measures of 71, 110 and 94 at the 9, 10 and 11 in the morning, respectively).

The municipal training asks the City Council not to stop having a passive attitude regarding pollution and poor air quality in the municipality, "and begin to implement effective measures to reverse this situation."

"If you do not start acting at once," they say, "an autumn is approaching where the scenes of pollutant berets on Murcia and the valley will be repeated day after day, with worrying data of pollutants and PM10 particles, produced by traffic shot and by agricultural burning. "

From Now Murcia denounce that "although last year Murcia was among the 16 cities in our country that exceeded the PM10 particle limit, the City Council has not taken serious and effective measures to reduce traffic in the municipality."

The municipal formation already defended a motion in the Plenary of November of 2017 relative to the necessity to take measures against the atmospheric pollution in the municipality, dealing with the specific case of ozone and demanding that the citizenship be informed immediately of the episodes of pollution.
