"The regulation of the Valley of the Fallen is perplexing and unintelligible" (09/11/2018)

The need for a new law of Historical Memory, because the current one considers it unconstitutional, contrary to international regulations and that does not respond to the historical moment in which we find ourselves, has been one of the ideas set forth by Álvaro Redondo, Supreme Court Prosecutor , during the inaugural lesson of the Degree in Law courses and of the Masters in Access to Advocacy and Administrative Management of the UCAM, held at the Campus of Los Jerónimos.

The vice dean of the Degree in Law, Jaime Sánchez-Vizcaíno, participated in the event, and was attended by students and professors of these degrees, as well as other members of the university community and representatives of the professional colleges of this field.

The prosecutor Redondo stressed during his speech that the wording of the regulations of the Valley of the Fallen is nothing but a source of confusion and conflicts.

In addition, the speaker said that he considers that a revision of the text of the Historical Memory Act is necessary, and should evolve towards a Law of Consolidation of Social Peace, "for which a plural commission, composed of jurists, historians, seems indicated. political scientists, social scientists and religious personalities, supported by democratic parties close to the constitutional pact, that bring a better text to Parliament ".

Training excellence in the field of law

The Faculty of Legal and Business Sciences of the Catholic University teaches the Degree in Law, both face-to-face and online, with two official mentions, in Business Law and Real Estate Management, as well as the double degree with ADE.

On the other hand, the Master in Access to the Legal Profession can be attended in person and the Administrative Management at a distance.
