The students of the School of Hospitality carry their "Murcian Mojete" and "Air of crumbs with cosicas" to "Murcia Gastronómica" (09/11/2018)

The participants in this employment and training program of the City of Murcia use this gastronomic congress that was inaugurated today in the building annexed to Víctor Villegas, as a showcase to show their experience and acquire new skills

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Tourism and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, attended today the inauguration of the Gastronomic Murcia 2018 Congress, which houses the annex building of the Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia and will extend until the Monday the 12th and in which the students of the municipal Catering School 'Murcia Emplea' have presented three of their creations: 'Mojete Murcia', 'Air of crumbs with cosicas' and the dessert' Arroz con leche, café de puchero y paparajotes'.

Among the objectives of the Hospitality School 'Murcia Emplea' is to train unemployed people or re-qualify them in occupations with high probability of job placement in the labor market, being the Hospitality and derivative companies sectors with a high rate of recruitment.

Another of its objectives is to give visibility to the training work of quality that is taught in exceptional facilities equipped with innovative and exclusive resources.

Therefore, from the Employment Service of the City of Murcia was valued as an opportunity to disseminate their training, the participation of the School of Hospitality Murcia Gastronomic Congress 2017, assuming a highly motivating and enriching experience for students and the teachers.

This year, the School of Hospitality 'Murcia Emplea' participates again in Murcia Gastronomic Congress 2018, with a stand designed to be a showcase of learning and the illusion that puts the students in their training process.

The stand will serve Murcian tapas with traditional flavors, innovative preparations and creative presentations, which are an indicator of the commitment of the teaching teams in the continuous improvement of their professional work.

This year the three dishes mentioned will be served at the stand: 'Mojete Murciano', 'Air of crumbs with cosicas' and 'Arroz con leche, café de puchero y paparajotes'.

The students of the School of Hospitality contribute their professional experience attending the stand of the City of Murcia and in the modality of what the organization calls volunteers, performing support tasks in the development of the congress.

Also collaborates in the stand a group of students / as that at present they are forming in a Certificate of Professionality of Dependent of To / of, informing to the assistants to the congress about the learning that imparts in the School of Hostelería 'Murcia Employs and distributes brochures of the activity carried out by the Employment Service in its commitment to increase training and employability of the citizens of the municipality.

The Employment Service of the City of Murcia has a Training Center and Employment Initiatives in El Palmar, which is located the School of Hospitality 'Murcia Emplea', where professionals are trained in the field of Hospitality and Tourism.

Currently, they integrate the school:

-30 students who take the Professional Certificates of Bar-Cafeteria and Restaurant Services.

-25 students who take the Certificate of Kitchen Professionalism.

-10 students studying the Certificate of Professionalism of Basic Operations of flats in Tourist Accommodation.

-7 Teachers: 2 Cooking, 2 Service Bar-Cafeteria and Restaurant, 1 Basic Operations Accommodation, 1 English and 1 Food Hygiene.

-various human resources management and administration personnel.
