Lydia Valentin appeared in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) as one of the great favorites of the Weightlifting World Championship in the category of 81 kilograms and fulfilled all the forecasts by getting two gold and one bronze.
From the first moment in which the competition started, lifting the first 108 kilograms on the start, he showed all his rivals that he was in top form.
The Leon was made with gold in this category with a final lift of 113 kilograms.
In 'dos ​​tiempos' he could not give continuity to his superiority and the fight for the medals was more close.
Lydia took bronze after a lift of 136 kilograms and consolidated her victory in the Olympic total by adding 249 kilograms.
In this way, the halter of the UCAM enlarges its legend after conquering two worlds consecutively (2017 and 2018).
