La Huerta and Segura River protagonists of a mural in the neighborhood of San Antolín (07/11/2018)

This work, made by the Municipal Office of the Gafiti together with the Drippings collective, has a dimension of 12 meters wide by 4 meters high, it is located in the Pintor Sobjeno street

In this mural the connection between the heart of the city and the great green lung that surrounds the municipality is represented.

The fauna and flora are also represented, where two typical cabernets of our environment appear.

The wheel of the Ñora has a special role, raising the water, which runs through the entire mural, to irrigate the Huerta

The City of Murcia, through the Municipal Office of Graffiti, in collaboration with Ferrovial Services, makes a new mural in the neighborhood of San Antolín.

This morning, the Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, together with Mari Ángeles Galindo, president of the Central West Municipal Board, Miguel Cano, head of street cleaning service and Clemente García, on behalf of the Municipal Office of the Graffiti, they have visited this mural located on Pintor Sobejano Avenue.

This new creation, the work of the Drippings collective, is a tribute to the Huerta and the Segura River.

It has a dimension of 12 meters wide by 4 meters high.

To carry it out, more than 120 spray cans and 4 days have been used.

"The mural represents a typical landscape of the Huerta, where the Segura River is the protagonist.We can see the connection between the heart of the city and the great green lung that surrounds our municipality.Thanks to the Murcia River project that we are carrying out, we approach and we value our traditions and nature, this mural represents the attachment that the Murcians have for our garden and the endless possibilities that we have within our reach, in just a few meters .. We are privileged of the environment we have, that is why we make this tribute, in one of the busiest streets of Murcia "explained Rebeca Pérez.

The objective of the Municipal Graffiti Office is to decorate disused or degraded spaces and transform them into well-kept areas, in addition, to turn them into artistic and creative corners of the city through urban art.

These murals make the city an open-air museum where artists from Murcia can show their talent to the thousands of residents and visitors who visit the municipality.

This creation is added to the collection of 60 murals that have already been made throughout the municipality and has carried out the Municipal Office of Graffiti.
