After the evaluation carried out by the National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (ANECA), the Council of Universities has issued a favorable report on Institutional Accreditation of the Faculties of Biology and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Murcia.
To obtain this accreditation, previously, all degree and master's degrees from both centers obtained the renewal of accreditation and ANECA certified the operation of their internal quality assurance systems (SAIC) as a sign of educational excellence and quality of the processes that develop in both faculties.
Biology and Veterinary Science are added to Computing, which last September achieved this same accreditation.
In this way, the University of Murcia already has three institutions accredited institutionally, the first and only in the Region of Murcia to achieve it.
ANECA launched the institutional accreditation program through Royal Decree 420/2015 as an alternative to the renewal model established in the ACREDITA program in the search for the simplification of this evaluation process that requires a lot of efforts for universities and universities. evaluating agency.
Achieving this Institutional Accreditation, in addition to assuming a seal of quality for the faculties that obtain it, also implies that the future processes of renewal of the accreditation for their qualifications will be more simplified.
The Vice-Rector for Quality, Culture and Communication, through the Quality Unit, is promoting various lines of work to promote the achievement of this distinction by the other faculties.
