Murcia has more than a hundred informative panels to raise awareness and maintain green areas (27/10/2018)

The City of Murcia has installed these panels in various green spaces, as well as in canine recreation areas of the municipality

"Our green areas are also spaces full of history, symbolism and we want Murcia to recognize the emblematic places of our city, where our parents and grandparents have also met and enjoyed" added José Guillén.

The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, directed by José Guillén, continues with its work of constant improvement of the different green areas.

For this, it is placing different signage that seeks in a concise and clear way to raise awareness among Murcians about the importance of caring for and respecting the green areas, parks and gardens of the municipality.

"With this initiative, the City of Murcia is committed to raising awareness of citizens care and responsibility to maintain the green areas of the municipality in perfect condition. We are aware of the importance of taking care of our parks and gardens, as they are leisure spaces, of meeting and fun of all Murcia "has highlighted José Guillén.

These posters have simple and clear sentences about the care of the different plants of flowers and shrubs, the management of games of gerontogimnasia or the rules of use of canine zone.

In most cases, these panels are accompanied by drawings with forms of nature, placed at key points (either because they are unique or historic spaces of our city) such as the Malecón de Murcia garden, the Artillery Barracks or Floridablanca.

"Our green areas are also spaces full of history, symbolism and we want Murcia to recognize the emblematic places of our city, where our parents and grandparents have also met and enjoyed" added José Guillén.

Along with these signs it is also possible to contemplate different instructive and formative images in the areas of canine recreation that exist.

In total it is about a hundred friendly signs that every day serve to decorate, while seeking to inform in a friendly and simple about how to live with green spaces of quality.

Also, along with those mentioned, there are about twenty gardens that have a system of information panels on the existing flora and fauna.

In addition, technology takes an extra prominence in two spaces: the Malecón garden and the Salitre, where you can collect that information through what are known as 'QR codes'.
