The spokesman for Citizens will request a motion in the Plenary of Murcia calling for the creation of a regulation to regulate the figure of the official chronicler of the municipality of Murcia.
In this sense, Gomez has highlighted "the relevance of the role of the chronicler in the history of a city, being a figure that collects the collective memory and important events that happen at the local level, becoming a source of protection and encouragement of the heritage ".
Thus, the spokesman of Cs has argued that, "as happens in other municipalities and autonomous communities, the City of Murcia should regulate the honorary figure of the official chronicler through a regulation with the aim of establishing the rights and obligations of this position, as well as the procedure and requirements for his election and appointment ".
