More than 11,000 Murcia enjoy the most emblematic buildings of Murcia thanks to'Pase Sin Llamar' (07/10/2018)

The 'Pass Without Calling' event brings the architecture closer to more than 9,000 Murcians who have enjoyed 110 visits to the most emblematic buildings of the municipality of Murcia and to more than 2,000 people who have enjoyed the audiovisual show on the facade of the cathedral held yesterday as a closing activity for this event in its second edition.

A total of 23 outstanding buildings of our city opened yesterday its doors so that thousands of neighbors knew, by means of a guided route, the secrets and curiosities of these buildings.

The most visited have been the old prison, with more than 4,000 visits throughout the day, the City of Murcia and its annex building designed by Rafael Moneo to commemorate its 20th anniversary, the Royal Casino of Murcia, the Romea Theater and the Circus Theater , among others.

"The goal of 'Pass Without Calling' is to get people interested and want to know and understand their city and its architecture, one of the branches of the great arts.

You can not want something without having met first, so this event seeks to Murcia know more about their city, through architecture, and that way they can love more and better Murcia, "says Jesus Pacheco Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs.

The visits carried out by the architects involved in the renovation or in the creation of the buildings themselves were also a success, with an average capacity of 150 people interested in hearing from the protagonists their explanations and annotations.

Jesús Pacheco stressed that "this event has been made possible thanks to the more than 50 volunteers who have participated, making our architecture known to all Murcia and visitors who have wanted to approach these more than 20 buildings."

After the success of the events leading up to the big day that have allowed hundreds of Murcia enjoy activities such as the explanation of the Plaza de Santa Isabel, the family gymkana or the conference of Iñaki Romero, co-director of Landscape Transversal, add 11,000 people yesterday they enjoyed the life that took the city of Murcia thanks to 'Pass Without Calling'.
