The Plenary approves the motions of support for IMIDA and for transparent criteria for the distribution of budgets in districts (27/09/2018)

The City Council Plenary today approved two of the motions presented by Cambiemos Murcia, the relative to the establishment of objective and clear criteria in the distribution of budgets to the districts and the support for stabilization of employment in the Murcia Research Institute and Agrarian and Food Development (IMIDA).

Regarding the first, Councilman Sergio Ramos has pointed out that the government team has not disclosed at any time what are the criteria used to carry out the economic distribution between the different districts, which is far from the principle of transparency and objectivity of public administrations.

Thus, Change Murcia has started the commitment of the popular councilor responsible for all municipal groups to develop transparent and quantifiable standards, which should include, according to municipal training, the population, distance to the center of the municipality, size of the districts or population density.

The second of the approved motions, defended by the mayor Margarita Guerrero, asks the City Council to demand from the Autonomous Community the provision of sufficient regional budget for the stabilization of the IMIDA staff by creating 48 jobs in all categories and levels throughout 2018, 2019 and 2020.

In addition, he proposed an increase in the budget of the Institute, at least at the levels prior to the economic crisis, when it exceeded by three million the money it receives today.

The motion of Ramos for the Consistory to ask the registry for a list of the unregistered property of the Church and initiate the necessary actions for the recovery of those whose public ownership may correspond to the Administration has not gone ahead by the quality vote of the mayor, who before the tie has positioned itself with his group to reject the agreements.

The rejection of the PP to the proposal of Cambiemos Murcia demonstrates, in the words of the councilor, "its null defense of public heritage and its coexistence with the Catholic Church in irregularregulations that have been doing throughout the country."

The motion filed by Cambiemos Murcia with PSOE and Ahora Murcia has also been rejected by Citizens and PP to demand the withdrawal of the proposed business acceleration Law that the orange party and the popular parties have presented at the Regional Assembly, and that the vote will be in this body on October 18.

This proposed law, which the legal services of the Autonomous Parliament have considered contrary to the constitutional principles of Legal Security and Interdiction of the Arbitrariness of public authorities, aims to regularize activities that do not have an activity license, as they are not in accordance with the urban planning .

It is, therefore, a proposal of a norm that is more a "pseudo urbanistic amnesty" by which it will be allowed -according to the socialist municipal groups and of Now Murcia and Cambiemos Murcia- the adaptation to the letter of the applicable planning of the activities that they are developing illegally in the municipality.

Yes it has gone forward the agreement of the motion of the PP on rejection to the holding of a referendum or consultation in Catalonia whose agreements, in the words of the councilman of Change Murcia, Sergio Ramos, only serve to create tension and "continue to feed the partisan interests of PP and Cs instead of looking for spaces of dialogue and understanding ".

"There is a majority of people who bet on coexistence and not confrontation, so we ask that this motion be withdrawn," said Ramos, after criticizing those who "dress with the flag to win a handful of votes".

Ramos has defended, in this sense, "a new institutional framework within a federal Republic that exceeds the regime of 78".

Regarding the PSOE proposal on the library of El Palmar, Murcia Change, through its assembly in El Palmar, has proposed the inclusion in it of two additional points that the Socialists have not wanted to add, so that the original motion has gone forward.
