Murcia 2018 disembarks in the city, bringing young talent to the streets on October 6] | This 6th edition will also include training and motivation workshops and seminars for professionals in the music industry |

Next October 3rd begins the sixth edition of Big Up!

Murcia, an event that has two very different parts: the Big Up!

Training, which aims to provide professional tools and keys to know the performance of the record industry and direct, and Big Up!

Streets of Murcia, a showcase of emerging talent to be held on Saturday 6.

The Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Projects, led by Jesús Pacheco, together with the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, led by Rebeca Pérez, have collaborated in this event organized by Son Buenos that will bring this new edition.

The Big Up Training is held from October 3 to 5 in the classroom of the Fundación Caja Mediterráneo, and will deal with issues such as the rights of musicians, the keys to choosing a good music distribution service, the importance of music in the visual media, and what is the role of the Music Supervisor in the process of creating a soundtrack for film, advertising, videogames.

We will speak about positioning in social networks, and how to access the musical promotion in specialized media with a table run by a Murcian musician and six national professionals of music journalism and communication.

There will also be workshops on recording music, home studios and work tools for the live show, all with leading national professionals.

Also, the motivation will be treated, the difficulties that make most of the bands and talented musicians abandon their work, leaving an untapped musical heritage.

The motivation will be worked to be able to live of the musician's office, thanks to the personal and inspiring talks, of musicians of well-known professional trajectory as Antón Muñoz, Uoho de Extremoduro and Platero and you, Eric Jiménez de los Planetas and Lagartija Nick and Carlos Tarque, three great names in the history of rock in this country that will be presented and accompanied by three young musicians from Murcia, Ginés Guzmán from Moody Sake, Fulgencio Martínez from Incredibles Full and Carmen Alarcón from Estupido Flanders.

Big Up!

Calles de Murcia is a sample of talent that will be held on the first Saturday of October, through which six Murcian bands and two national ones, selected by a jury of the press, promoters and professionals of national record companies, will perform two performances of 20 minutes in different points of the city, will have to perform without technical production, in a special format, following the spirit of the street musician.

This year as a novelty, one of the tours will be called Murcia City and will begin at 12:00 hours to visit locations such as the Plaza Santa Catalina, Plaza de los Apóstoles, Plaza San Juan de Dios, La Glorieta, the Verónicas Wall and the Plaza de la Paja

In addition, an area will be installed with two small fixed scenarios in which the groups will alternate performances, called Terra Móvil Stage, in the Plaza de la Merced from 17:00 hours.

This space will be the center of the Big Up!

The participating groups are: Alex Juarez, Austin Slack, Komorebi, Tribu 29, Incredibles Ful and WAW, regional groups.
