The Temple of the Monasteries of Los Jerónimos, headquarters of the UCAM, has hosted this morning the act of presentation to the students of the Higher Institute of Professional Training San Antonio.

This is a highly demanded training, as pointed out by José Alarcón, director of the Institute, who has assured that nowadays companies demand technicians, so Superior Vocational Training offers many job opportunities.

This year the Institute imparts as a novelty in Murcia the title of Higher Technician in Oral Hygiene.

In addition, it is working to launch, in the Campus of Cartagena together with The SGS Maritime & Offshore International Center, the titles of FP of Middle Grade in 'Emergencies and Civil Protection' and in 'Underwater and Hyperbaric Operations'.

University environment

The Institute is located in the surroundings of the Catholic University of Murcia, which enables students to be trained in a fully university environment, either through the use of facilities or the faculty's own faculty.

It should be noted that upon completion of the studies of higher vocational training, the graduate may obtain the recognition of credits to access, if desired, the corresponding course of undergraduate studies.

Double title

One of the distinctions of the Institute is that, once the studies are completed, the students receive a double degree: The Official Title of Superior Technician (issued by the Ministry) plus the corresponding Own Title of Higher University Technician (issued by the UCAM).

Internship abroad

In addition to the compulsory practices that the student will carry out during the second academic year, he / she will be able to carry out, already of optional form, internships in companies abroad through the ERASMUS + program.

Also, once you finish your studies you can continue with them, up to a maximum of one year.

These stays abroad suppose an added value for the student, who can combine his practical training with the learning of a language.
