A grant from the Department of Social Rights to the Association Fe y Alegría Ecuador will allow the expansion of coverage in Unified General Baccalaureate in the Glend Side Educational Center of the community of Pintag of the province of Pichincha in Ecuador.
The objective of this cooperation project is to ensure access and permanence in the educational system of 253 children who currently attend the 1st to 10th grade of this community through the construction and equipping of a classroom with capacity for 30 students where they will be studied 1st year baccalaureate.
This will ensure the allocation of their teachers, training them with the support of the International Federation of Fe y Alegría, as well as school management appropriate to the context of the center through the involvement and active participation of parents. of family and the whole community.
The main objective is to contribute to reverse the educational deficit in Ecuador that becomes more evident in rural and urban-marginal areas where there is a lack of educational infrastructure.
The cost of the project amounts to 59,908 of which 19,909 have been subsidized by the City Council
Fe y Alegría Association Ecuador is a non-profit private management organization, present in Ecuador since 1964 whose primary purpose is to contribute to the integral education of the population in the popular sectors.
It is present in 14 provinces of the country, mainly in urban-marginal and rural areas where it meets the education needs of more than 29,345 children and young people.
Its action focuses on regular education through 75 educational centers that provide services of initial education, basic general education, baccalaureate, educational inclusion and technical training.
