The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, through the Service of Parks and Gardens, is reforming the decorative 'rings' that were placed under the casuarinas of the Piazza del Romea in the past Spring Festival and that had great acceptance among the Murcians
"Therefore, what we have done is to recycle these elements that embellish this place so much and create a second interior ring that insulates the neck of the tree of undesirable humidity and provides better aeration", explains the mayor of Modernization of Administration and Development Urban, José Guillén.
This new system, which is already changing in more than a score of copies, is responsible for protecting the trunk of the tree against possible damage and prevents excessive moisture.
In addition, in these new works, is being placed around a thousand new specimens of a creeping plant called 'Lobularia Marítima' or 'honey flower'.
The tasks have been carried out for two weeks by a team of three people.
"What has been done is to put a structure around as a second ring and ultimately reuse elements that liked the Murcia as are the previous structures," adds the mayor Guillén.
Thus, from the Murcia Consistory is still committed to improving the spaces where every day spend thousands of Murcia, while caring for and respecting the environment and its various plant elements.
