The Mayor has taken the celebration of the XXIV Awards Construction Sector in the Region of Murcia to "reclaim and recognize the effort and sacrifice" of employers both to drive development and generation of Murcia as well now to meet the challenges of the current crisis.
House has indicated that it is a fundamental and strategic sector for its impact on economic activity and its proven ability to create jobs and become a force for prosperity in the region.
In addition to congratulate each of the winners, the Mayor recalled that in 1995, when unemployment touched 20%, "we were able to reduce it to nearly full employment and now we're going to get."
Miguel Angel House has shown confidence in the future but warned that "at this time are difficult times of uncertainty and continuous improvisation, calling for efforts to weakest."
In this regard, stressed that the Government's decision to limit the nation's capacity to borrow for investment to the municipalities can "lead to the disappearance" for hundreds of small businesses and thousands of construction workers.
This twenty-fourth edition of the awards granted by FRECOM have distinguished Minister of Universities, Business and Research, Salvador Marín, with the "Golden Palette" to recognizing his contribution to the construction industry and its companies.
They have been awarded Urbincasa Construction in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility; beams in the German section of Technological Innovation, and entrepreneurs Campoy and Juan Hilario Martínez Arce Business Dedication.
Finally, Andres Lopez, a former secretary for organization of the Federation of Wood, Construction and Allied UGT, and Antonio Pita, former regional director of Cajamar in the region have received special mention from the jury.
